Fling is a Boston-based artist formed by vocalist and guitarist duo Tove and Belle. The two began working together in 2022, both navigating pivotal stages of their lives. Struggling with the ever-changing expectations of womanhood, they found solace in their music, writing songs brimming with honesty. Their beautiful harmonies are paired with the jazzy bass lines of the talented Maya Bergman and the complex keyboard accompaniment of Sam Frank. The band continues to explore and experiment with their evolving sound. While their music is singer-songwriter at its core, there are added groovy, indie, and folk elements. They take inspiration from icons Fleetwood Mac, Faye Webster, and Big Thief, but Fling is an utterly unique artist. Their next single “Close,” is a lyrical punch to the gut, a feeling that is echoed and elevated on their forthcoming EP Bite Your Nails.
